In anticipation that an agreement with the Library will be reached by the August 23rd target date, we have booked the RoseRoom at Arbor Hall on Sunday, August 23rd at 2:00 to conduct the vote. An absentee ballot will not be available. (Arbor Hall is located at 2150 Arbor Blvd in Moraine; it's very close to CarillonPark. Visit their web site (http://www.arborhall.com) for more details about the site. The RoseRoom is the same room in which our recent General Membership Meeting was held.) When we started this process, the Library wanted to rush. They wanted to get an agreement in place now!!! Then the state budget crisis happened, and they wanted to wait until we had a budget. After we resumed, they were, once again, in a big hurry. All of this is understandable. Until this week, which is where it starts to get confusing.

Negotiation Update - 7/31/09
In the last week, submitted one proposal to the library, and will submit
another later this afternoon. Our first proposal contained all the financial
considerations the Library has requested to remain solvent for 2009. It did not
request that the library take any steps that would jeopardize the library's
fiscal status.
